Since inheriting her uncle's jeweling tools at the age of sixteen, Chris has worked diligently to master her craft. Her design career began at the Rhode Island School of design, proceeded to the GIA where she earned graduated gemologist certificate in both diamonds and colored gems. She then attended Sir John Cass college of Art in London, studied in Pforzheim, Germany for two years, and returned to New York to start her own company, Chris Correia Collection in 1984.
